ADP Hotspots
The data below is based on Underdog Fantasy’s ADP as of the updated date on the bottom of the sheet.
On the right hand side of the data is the base data. The deeper the red, the more “hot” that position is, in that respective round (first column), compared to the same position in other rounds of the draft. The deeper the blue the less chance that a player at that respective position gets drafted in that respective round.
On the left side of the chart… to the left of the dark black bar, is most useful for when you’re drafting towards the back end of each respective round. It’s informing you, one round ahead of time, which positions are about to be more heavily drafted or, barely drafted; dependent upon the color of the cell.
- Blue = the next round is deep red | AKA, that position will be drafted at a very high rate
- Solid Green = the next round is a semi-dark red | AKA, that position will be drafted at a semi-high rate
- Transparent Green = the next round is light red | AKA, that position will be drafted at an above average rate
- Red = the next round is deep blue | AKA, that position will be drafted at a very low rate
- Orange = the next round is a semi-deep blue | AKA, that position will be drafted at a semi-low rate
- Yellow = the next round is a transparent blue | AKA, that position will be drafted at a below average rate
Personally, I found the primary ADP Hotspot chart (to the right) to be most useful pre-draft but less so, during. The chart to the left was useful for planning ahead by a round or two when debating between players at a couple (or even a few) different positions.
You can find my favorite tool from this data in its sister data sheet titled “Hot Spots by Draft Position”
