Hello and, first of all, thank you for being here!
The Fantasy Football Forge is an independent YouTube channel & Website focused on producing, developing, and honing quality content that is forged through blood, sweat, and tears. The FF Forge will bring you accurate, distinctive, year-around “analysis from the trenches”.
“Analysis from the trenches” – what does that mean? The FF Forge is your front line to help you (the GM) to make the most of your draft, your strategy, your starters, your bench players and your waiver-wire options. The Fantasy Football Forge is looking through the numbers, spread-sheet after spread-sheet (our metal base) and then taking a metaphorical hammer to all of that information to sharpen it into a blade that you can take into the battle that is Fantasy Football.
The FF Forge doesn’t believe there is a single best strategy for success – instead the belief is that any strategy can win if it’s implemented well. If you go in with a strategy and you have the correct tools, with a sprinkle of (good) luck, you can win your league. Through deep-dive analysis, that you will have access to, The FF Forge will bring you the tools to make any strategy work in your favor.
The Fantasy Football Forge, also, has an issue with the landscape of current projections/rankings. As anyone who has done their own projections knows, there is a “range of outcomes” for every single player; a range that is “most likely” – both across the season and on a weekly basis. On every single play there are countless factors that have direct consequences to the fantasy point output on that play, and thus impacts on the next play and the play after that. Factors which we have no control of – good snap/bad snap, does someone tip the ball at the line of scrimmage or not, does a defender make a good play on a good throw or does the receiver make a good play on a bad throw, does the receiver drop an easy catch, does holding get called or not etc. etc. The saying, “football is a game of inches” is an understatement, if for no other reason than the simple fact that – less than an inch can be the difference between a catch for -2 yds and a catch for 78yds and a TD.
As fantasy football GM’s, why do we pigeon hole ourselves with “player X is projected to get 12.8 fantasy points and player Y is projected to get 9.7 fantasy points” when we know that those exact outcomes rarely turn out to be true. The FF Forge’s focus is on harnessing the unpredictability of the game to bring you content and information that will help you make the “best” strategic decisions to help you win your weak and your league.
The goal is remain fully independent through the good will of patrons supporting all that we bring you. That includes an attempt to limit / resist the use of sponsorships & ad-revenue. The FF Forge is also tired of getting advertised to all day, every day. A roof, electricity, the tools to bring you (ever improving, quality) content, and food & beverage are all we need to be able to keep this going so any-all donations are appreciated no matter the size.
